ွွSeven dismissed Union leaders from Solamoda Garment Factory will be reinstated

Good news: The seven dismissed Union leaders from Solamoda Garment Factory will be reinstated by 12th after nine months.

The owner of Solamoda fashion factory has refused to comply with the Arbitration Council’s decision to reinstate the leaders of the said factory union, who have been terminated since September 2017. The factory side has pretended that it would re-hire the workers and has just procrastinated when CTUM/IWFM called the brand to make sure the factory followed their Code of Conduct and country law.

Nine months later, IWFM has reported and requested the IndustriAll to have discussions with the Solamoda factory group and the Brand.

As a result, the factory manager has, today, written to the dismissed union leaders saying that these dismissed union leaders can return to work. IWFM would, therefore, like to inform our fellow workers and comrades that the terminated union leaders of Solamoda will finally be able to resume their jobs and will also receive the compensation for the period of dismissal after being fired for nine months.

Again, it is happy to learn that the employer has already withdrawn the lawsuit made against the said workers in court.
