Round Table Discussion on Freedom of Association and Social Dialogue in the Global Textile, Garment and Shoes Sector on 15th Nov, 2019.
Representatives from IndustriALL, Brands, Suppliers, and IWFM participated. The objectives of the meeting was to create an opportunity to discuss the Freedom of Association Guidelines and for the relevant parties – brands, suppliers and the trade unions to strategize on the implementation and next steps. Sister Christina, IndustriALL explained the Global overview of the TGLS Sector and IndustriALL Action plan.
Khaing Zar, President of IWFM and Yin Yin , employer representative jointly explained the agreed Freedom of Association Guide line by IWFM and ACT member Brands. All participants discussed the strategy for effective implement of FOA guide line.
