10th Youth Leadership Training
(12 – 21 Sept 2017 in Singapore)
Supported by ITUC-AP,OTC Institute and JILAF, 10th Youth Leadership Training successfully taking place from 12 -21 September 2017 in Singapore. For 10 days, (38) youth representatives from Worker Unions from 22 different countries identified current situations on Trade Unions Issue, challenges and discussed ways of resolving the problems through training, on-site workshops and working group discussions facilitated by the Experts of Trade Unionists. 10th YLC Training was a follow up efforts of the Labour Trade Unions Movements and support youth as important actors for the future Leaders.
As CTUM’s Youth Representatives, we are Min Min Htun ( Life & Dance Unions), Min Thein Han ( IWFM), Khaing Thinzar Aye @ Boke Boke (CTUM), attended and discussing on Myanmar Labour Unions Movements and current situations.
On the first day of the 10th YLC Training, Mr. Shoya Yoshida, ITUC-AP General Secretary was giving the opening Speech. And started Introductions session to be friendlier each participates.youth representative explored potentials of Trade Unions in generating positive impacts on our community.
Also, participants engaged in on-site workshops in the field of Industrial Relationship and Social Dialogue, OHS, Gender Equality, Worker’s Rights, Labour Migration, Employment Protection, Wage, Working Hours and Effective Leadership Skills. Throughout the facilitated working group discussions, participants were able to better understand the topic and exchange their experience with other participants of the working group who are working in or planning to engage in their sector.
On the second day of the training, all youth participants visited National Trade Union Congress (NTUC)and then get to know more trade unions movement in Singapore. Also made the team work with out siting sessions.
Other Day, we learned a lot of lecture time, take the exercise/ homework and made the link with International Labour Unions. Also exchanged information, culture and creativity work in Labour Issues.
