Press Conference on the definition of worker in the Dispute Settlement Law Amendments to include workers from public sector

The conference was taken initiatives by CTUM’s member unions from public sector. ( The unions are from Health Sector (Nurses), Education Sector, Inland Water Transport Sector, Myanmar Train Sector, State Owned Garment Enterprises, Cleaners). 25 unions organized the Event.

Total Participants – 52

18 Media persons from 15 Media such as MRTV, SKY Net, MITV, DVB, Global New Light of Myanmar, The voice, Kamayut Media, Mizziam, San Taw Chain, etc) attended the Press Conference.

CTUM and 25 public sector unions explained to the public through these media.

In the ” Worker” definition of Dispute Settlement Law Amendment should be included workers from public sector.

In the Dispute Settlement Law Amendment Process, government group and employers group proposed to remove workers from public sector in the ” Workers ” definition of Dispute Settlement Law. The reason was workers from public sector have civil service law and civil service rules. They do not have to be covered by the dispute settlement law.

However, workers group proposed to include workers from public sector because there is no dispute settlement mechanism in the civil service law and rule. There is only ” Taking Action against workers who have violated civil service law and Punishment” Section in the civil service law. This is called Departmental Enquiry set up by Management Level and formed with Management People. There is no representatives from trade unions. There is no fair, free and independent dispute settlement mechanism in this civil service law and rule.

25 public sector unions will submit their position to parliamentarians.

အလုပ္သမားေရးရာ အျငင္းပြားမႈေျဖရွင္းေရး ဥပေဒ ကို ဒုတိယ အၾကိမ္ ျပင္ဆင္သည့္ ဥပေဒ တြင္ နိုင္င့ံ၀န္ထမ္းမ်ား အက်ဳံး၀င္ေရး သတင္းစာရွင္းလင္းပြဲ

CTUM ၏ အဖြဲ႔၀င္မ်ားျဖစ္ၾကေသာ ႏုိင္ငံံ၀န္ထမ္း သမဂၢ ၂၅ ခုမွ ဦးေဆာင္၍ က်င္းပျပဳလုပ္ခဲ့ပါသည္။

သတင္းမီဒီယာ ဌာန (၁၅) ခု တက္ေရာက္ခဲ့ပါသည္။ DVB, SKY NET, MRTV, MITV, The Voice , Kamayut Media အစရွိေသာ သတင္းဌာန ၁၅ ခုမွ သတင္းမီဒီယာ ညီအကိုေမာင္ႏွမ ၁၈ ဦး တက္ေရာက္ခဲ့ပါသည္။

CTUM မိသားစုအဖြဲ႔၀င္မ်ားျဖစ္ၾကေသာ ပညာေရးက႑၊ က်န္းမာေရးက႑၊ အထည္ခ်ဳပ္က႑၊ ျမန္မာ့မီးရထားက႑၊ ျပည္တြင္းေရေၾကာင္းက႑၊ စည္ပင္သာယာေရးကဲ့သုိ႔ ျပည္သူ႔၀န္ေဆာင္မႈ က႑ မ်ားတြင္ ႏုိင္ငံ့၀န္ထမ္းမ်ားအျဖစ္ အလုပ္လုပ္ေနၾကေသာ၊ ႏုိင္ငံ့၀န္ထမ္း သမဂၢ (၂၅) ခုမွ ညီအကိုေမာင္ႏွမမ်ားမွ ဦးေဆာင္၍ က်င္းပျပဳလုပ္ခဲ့ပါသည္။

သတင္းမီဒီယာမ်ားကို ႏုိင္ငံ့၀န္ထမ္းမ်ား၊ အစိုးရ၀န္ထမ္းမ်ား၊ ျပည္သူ႔၀န္ေဆာင္မႈ က႑ရွိ အလုပ္သမားမ်ား သည္ အလုပ္သမားဥပေဒမ်ားတြင္ အက်ဳံး၀င္မႈ ရွိသင့္ေၾကာင္းကို တင္ျပခဲ့ၾကပါသည္။

သတင္းစာရွင္းလင္းပြဲသုိ႔ စုစုေပါင္း လူဦးေရ ၅၂ ဦး တက္ေရာက္ခဲ့ပါသည္။
